24/11/2015 – The Brick Development Association (BDA) has announced the winners of the 2015 Brick Awards, one of the top design and construction awards in the country. Now into its 39th year, the Brick Awards is the longest, most well established design awards in the UK. The 14 categories open to Architects, House Builders, Brick Contractors, Brick Manufacturers, Owners and Developers recognise excellence in brick innovation, sustainability and architecture.
SafeStand Access Systems would like to send out a massive congratulations to some of our customers who received awards at this year’s ceremony with Cara Brickwork coming on top with the Supreme Award for their work at Manchester’s Whitworth Gallery, which also saw them winning the Best Public and Education Building Award.
Other winners on the night included Lee Marley Brickwork who also won two awards, one for the Best Housing Design Award for Trafalgar Place in Elephant & Castle and the other for the Craftsmanship Award for their work at Eton College’s Jafar Gallery & Jafar Hall.
Taylor Wimpey walked away with the Volume Housebuilding Award while Swift Brickwork Contractors also managed to get two awards on the night, one being the coveted Specialist Brickwork Contractor of the Year which was judged on the entire company activities including Health and Safety, craftsmanship and, most importantly, training for the next generation. They also walked away with the Best International & Worldwide Project.
