Working Well Together with the HSE and Carillion.

As one of the principle organisers of the Working Well Together Event at the RICOH Stadium in Coventry on 11th July 2017, Carillion invited SafeStand® Ltd to demonstrate and give presentations to all the attendees about SafeStand® Access Equipment.

Working Well Together (WWT) was setup by the Construction Industry Advisory Committee (CONIAC) in 1998. The CONIAC committee together with the WWT committee advise the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) on the protection of people at work and others from hazards to their health and safety within the construction industry.  The key purpose of WWT Events is to get the message of health and safety across to the workforce thus making the workforce more aware of health and safety and promoting safe working practices.

The main focus of the event was on Work at Height and SafeStand® Access Systems were well received and got positive feedback from the attendees including HSE Inspectors.

Neil Boon, Senior IMS Manager for Carillion Construction Services said, “I would like to thank you for your support of our event today, without your support we can’t put on events like this. The presentations followed by the practical demonstrations really went down very well and we had a good variety to key people interested. Various people whom I spoke to thought the time they spent was of real value and benefit, which gives a nice feeling of doing something right.”

16.10.2013 SafeStand were invited by the HSE (Health & Safety Executive) to exhibit our Access Systems at a Safety, Health & Awareness Day (SHAD) they had organised for the 16th October 2013.

The aim of the event is to give practical, hands on advice to construction companies on key topics such as Work at Height.

The event was well attended with much interest being shown in the SafeStand Access Systems and in particular the capabilities of the SafeStand 1200 System.

Feedback on the day was that the attendees found it very informative and with regards to SafeStand, it was “good to see a system out there that ticks all the boxes”. The event was such a success that the HSE’s Nikkie Childs (Event Organiser) has asked if SafeStand would attend the event again next year.
