Safestand® Supplies it’s 1000 Stand to MOD Stafford

29.09.2014 – Safestand® Access Systems has been selected yet again for another portion of the MOD Stafford redevelopment programme.  Safestand has been used on the Beacon Barracks by various sub-contractors for Lend Lease including Cara Brickwork, Caxton Builders, Irvine Whitlock, Lawlors Ltd and Midlands Brickwork.

The redevelopment programme for Beacon Barracks will provide a new mess building, new workshops, single living accommodation, offices, garages, a junior ranks catering, retail and leisure facility, training, sports and medical services to transform Beacon Barracks into a major Royal Signals hub in Stafford as part of the BORONA Programme.

SafeStand® at One The Elephant

24/03/2014 Bishop Developments Ltd have begun work on the landmark 37-storey tower comprising 284 new homes, One The Elephant. The development is the latest step in the £1.5bn regeneration of Elephant & Castle, which is being delivered by Lend Lease in partnership with Southwark Council.

Bishop Developments Ltd have chosen to use SafeStand® Access Systems as their preferred choice for low level access systems. The development is set to provide around 3,000 new homes as well as shops, restaurants, community facilities and public spaces over the next 15 years. Lend Lease is delivering the regeneration using its integrated property model. As well as funding and developing the homes, it is also acting as the main contractor. The first new homes are scheduled for completion in autumn 2015. Lend Lease is also delivering the International Quarter, a new £2bn commercial district at Stratford City in the Olympic Park which will include 350 new homes.

Safestand® Access System used at The National Theatre

15/11/2012 – Safestand® Access Systems are being used by Blou Construction Limited on the current redevelopment of The National Theatre, which is part of the NT Future project headed by Lend Lease. The redevelopment will open up the iconic building in a bid to improve access to the theatre complex and create a new café, a rooftop garden and a workshop.

The project will see the theatre gain an extra 10,000 seats per year and reveal what goes on backstage through the creation of a high level public walkway overlooking the backstage areas of the theatre.
