Partnership with HSE and WWT In The Midlands

17.06.2014 On Tuesday 17th June 2014 SafeStand® Ltd attended the Working At Height  SHAD (Safety & Health Awareness Day) at Broadstreet Rugby Club, Coventry and demonstrated SafeStand® Access Systems to the attendees.

The event was organised by the local WWT (Working Well Together) and HSE teams as well as some principal contractors including Carillion. The aim of the event was to raise awareness of the safety issues surrounding work at height within the construction industry and to give practical advice on how to control and avoid risks. Presentations at the event were made by Matthew Whitaker (HSE Inspector) and Tony Hall (WWT) as well as a number of industry professionals.

Practical presentations/demonstrations of good management and practices were made by various nationwide suppliers including SafeStand® Ltd.

The event was attended by almost 100 people. The presentations were well received by the attendees and increased their awareness of potential hazards in the construction industry and ways of overcoming them.

16.10.2013 SafeStand were invited by the HSE (Health & Safety Executive) to exhibit our Access Systems at a Safety, Health & Awareness Day (SHAD) they had organised for the 16th October 2013.

The aim of the event is to give practical, hands on advice to construction companies on key topics such as Work at Height.

The event was well attended with much interest being shown in the SafeStand Access Systems and in particular the capabilities of the SafeStand 1200 System.

Feedback on the day was that the attendees found it very informative and with regards to SafeStand, it was “good to see a system out there that ticks all the boxes”. The event was such a success that the HSE’s Nikkie Childs (Event Organiser) has asked if SafeStand would attend the event again next year.
